Ryan Gosling and Mark Ronson release special Christmas version of ‘I’m Just Ken’

It is an exciting time for Barbie fans because Ryan Gosling has teamed up with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt to provide three special new renditions of the popular hit ‘I’m Just Ken’.

Ken the EP features the standout track, the holiday-inspired ‘I’m Just Ken (Merry Kristmas Barbie)’, which comes with a brand new video showcasing Gosling, Ronson, and Wyatt performing the song in a festive studio alongside an orchestra.

The EP also includes ‘I’m Just Ken (Acoustic In My Feelings)’ and a remix of the song by Purple Disco Machine.

After Greta Gerwig’s summer blockbuster hit the screens, ‘I’m Just Ken’ soared to the top five on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart and amassed over 100 million global streams. Barbie The Album also clinched 11 Grammy Award nominations, while ‘I’m Just Ken’ received nominations for a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award.

The song, which plays toward the end of the movie, also features guest contributions from Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, Wolfgang Van Halen, and current Foo Fighters drummer Josh Freese.

Other tracks from the Barbie soundtrack currently making waves on the chart include Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s ‘Barbie World’, Dua Lipa’s ‘Dance the Night’, Billie Eilish’s ‘What Was I Made For’, and Charli XCX’s ‘Speed Drive’).

While ‘I’m Just Ken’ marked Gosling’s breakthrough in pop music, it’s not his first foray into the music scene. In 2007, he co-founded the goth-synth band Dead Man’s Bones alongside his friend Zach Shields.
