Rumours continue to swirl that Stormzy will headline Glastonbury 2019

Now, we know, we know, we can’t believe everything you hear but if the latest rumoured headliner for Glastonbury 2019 turns out to be true, we couldn’t be happier. Grime figurehead Stormzy is latest big name touted for a spot on the Pyramid Stage.

A major website, eFestivals, a forum specialising in festival news, has made the claim that Stormzy will be the headliner for this year on a recent post in their forum. The site’s admin quoted “a music biz newsheet I subscribe to” that had Stormzy headlining Friday night’s festivities.

The post goes on to claim spots on the bill for Liam Gallagher on the same day with Childish Gambino also scheduled to appear. They continue that the other two headline spots will be filled by The Cure and Sir Paul McCartney.

The full quote stated: “A couple of weeks ago we ran the rumour that Stormzy was to headline the Friday night at Glastonbury. We’ve now had that confirmed, with either Childish Gambino or Liam Gallagher also taking a key slot that night. Which makes the other headliners mooted – The Cure on Saturday and Paul McCartney on Sunday – both seem plausible. Noel Gallagher is playing next year.”

We’re not 100% sure that Stormzy will be the main man for Eavis and Glastonbury on that Friday night come 2019, but we are 100% sure that if he brought the same energy as below that he would be a worthy addition.
