Rod Stewart suggests his next UK tour in 2027 will be his last: “That’ll probably be it”
Rod Stewart has revealed he will be touring the UK again in 2027 and suggested it’ll be his final run of dates on home soil.
Stewart has been on his One Last Time farewell tour since 2024, which has kept him occupied for the last two years, and while it’s not over yet, the end is seemingly edging closer into sight.
During a radio interview with TalkSPORT on May 18th, Stewart said of his current schedule, revealing that he’ll next be performing at a private event in Monte Carlo this week, before returning to Las Vegas for a residency.
He shared, “I shoot off to Vegas for seven concerts there, and then about another ten. I’ve got about 40 odd shows this year. That’s not really enough.”
Looking ahead to 2027, Stewart added, “Then I’m touring the UK next year, doing The O2, and that’ll probably be it, I think. I’ll have to do something new, come on your show more often, maybe.”
The ‘Maggie May’ singer also discussed his undying love of performing, adding, “There’s nothing like it, there’s no drink, alcohol, or drug that’ll give you that buzz. To see all those smiling faces out there, seeing them all happy, it’s just God’s gift. It’s wonderful.”
Although Stewart confirmed that he will be playing The O2 in London next year, his upcoming UK tour has not been officially announced at this stage.
He previously said in 2024 that his current run of shows will be “the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire“.
Stewart then explained that “I’d like to move onto a Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour the year after next – smaller venues and more intimacy.”
However, Stewart did leave the door open to a potential U-turn, concluding, “But then again, I may not…”
Stewart has not carried out a UK arena tour since 2022, but did play a series of outdoor shows in 2023, as well as returning to Glastonbury in 2025 to deliver the coveted legend’s slot on the Pyramid Stage.
