Robert Fripp and Toyah Willcox take on electric Kiss hit in latest ‘Sunday Lunch’ episode

Robert Fripp and Toyah Willcox have returned to their Sunday Lunch series, taking on a wild rock and roll interpretation of Kiss for their latest episode.

The pair reignited the popular social media series with a fresh cover being posted to YouTube on May 31st, seemingly marking only their second new instalment of 2026 after they recently got into the habit of reposting older clips.

However, in the latest episode, the pair don’t seem to have lost any of their classic form, with Fripp donning the iconic Kiss makeup to perform a special version of ‘I Wanna Rock and Roll’, while Willcox sings wearing a sparkly dress and sunglasses.

It marks the latest video in the storming social media series from the couple, who have previously worn similarly wacky costumes and makeup to perform a range of cover hits such as Bikini Kill’s ‘Rebel Girl’, AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Hell, and XYZ’s ‘Nice Way to Die’.

Although the couple have not shared many new Sunday Lunch instalments this year so far, a partial reason for this could have been to allow Fripp to fully recover from his health scare, after suffering a heart attack in 2025.

After revealing the news in another YouTube video last May, the King Crimson guitarist did happily share a positive update with regards to his health in a recent interview with Uncut, where he said he hasn’t “been this healthy or present within myself in decades, perhaps ever.”

Despite the scare, Fripp noted that he was choosing to view the heart attack “as a benevolent redirection of my life,” adding, “I go to the gym regularly. I’m deadlifting currently, at best, 120 kilograms, bench pressing 75 kilograms, doing squatting with weights, stretching, balancing, yoga.”

However, as much as he was clearly glad to survive the ordeal, the classic rocker was bemused by one part of his healthcare experience, as he recalled: “I was in A&E, they hooked me up to a monitor, and the next step was this dear man turned up and shaved my balls. I thought, ‘Well, if this is something to do with my heart, why is he shaving my balls?’”

Fripp had shared this previously in a 2025 interview as well, saying at the time, “Now the dear man, I really didn’t wish his job on him at that point. Now this is the thing. So you’re concerned with my heart, fine. What are you doing shaving my balls?”
