Remastered Brian Eno albums being reissued to vinyl

Brian Eno has announced a string of his most influential albums are being reissued to vinyl.

1975’s Discreet MusicMusic for Films from 1976), Music for Airports (1978) and 1982’s On Land have been remastered for 45 RPM and 33 RPM vinyl editions, according to a press release.

“Although originally released interspersed with other albums and thus not fully sequential, these landmark records chart four key points in a fascinating journey that saw Eno explore generative music, found-sound ‘non instruments’, studio experimentation, ‘figurative music’ and – most notably – building upon Erik Satie’s concept of ‘furniture music’, eventually coining the now vernacular-standard term ‘ambient,’” the press statement explained.

The reissues arrive November 16 via UMC/Virgin EMI.
