Robin Williams was rarely off our screens in the ‘90s. From his portrayal of Hook to his portrayal of an old woman in Mrs Doubtfire, he was a true entertainer that could have you laughing one minute and in floods of tears the next. He really was a true star.

Sadly, on August 11, 2014, Williams committed suicide in his California home at age 63. His wife attributed his suicide to his struggle with Lewy body disease. Five years on people are still remembering the true joy that Williams brought to many people’s lives over his career.

In this rare video we get a glimpse into the man behind the camera, the clip showing Williams working with TV veteran Howard Storm. Storm and Williams worked with each other on Mork & Mindy and, while working with Williams, Storm managed to harness his energy and capture moments of magic.

When interviewed on Archive of American Television Storm talked about how “working with him was just amazing. The trick I found with Robin was that you could not sit on him…you could not stop him. You had to let him rehearse and do everything he wanted to do to get it out of his system, and then you could start to peel away.”

Five years after the sad death of Williams, it is good to see these gems appear and being shared in order to celebrate what an amazing man he really was.
