Radiohead's Thom Yorke was once asked to be BBC's 'Strictly Come Dancing'

Radiohead front man Thom Yorke has today revealed that he was once asked to appear on the celebrity reality show Strictly Come Dancing and we cannot express enough how much we want that to happen.

The singer is hot off the heels of being announced for BBC Radio 4’s ‘Desert Island Discs’ as well as a string of artistic ventures, including ANIMA among others. But perhaps his chance at super-stardom on the dancefloor has now passed as he revealed that the ballroom dancing BBC stalwart ‘Strictly…’ once offered him the chance to be a part of the show.

Yorke revealed the amusing anecdote on Sean Keavney’s BBC 6 Music show at around the 1:42 mark. When asked by Keavney whether he had ever been approached for a celebrity reality show like ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ or ‘Strictly…’ to which Yorke replied: “Oh Strictly,” before he added: “I think they asked me once in the early days of the programme. I was like ‘you what’? I’m pretty sure I got the call from the office one day.”
