Radiohead shares a new cut of ‘Kid A’ track ‘Treefingers’

With a big anniversary on the way, Radiohead thought the best way to celebrate their iconic album Kid A and its 20th birthday was with a brand new extended cut of album song ‘Treefingers’.

It’s been a year of Radiohead giving back as the band have been sharing a glut of rarities online as part of their new library archive.

While a new record looks unlikely for quite some time, according to Philip Selway: “This is kind of the year away from Radiohead, but we will pick that up again.” The group have been active in sharing new cuts of old tracks.

It has encouraged the band to drop a brand new cut of Kid A album track, ‘Treefingers’, on to streaming services.

With the 20th anniversary of the album arriving this year fans have been wondering if the group will match the same anniversary of the band’s OK Computer when the group released a new edition of the LP.

So while we wait to hear news of an anniversary edition Kid A release we can first enjoy the unheard extended cut of ‘Treefingers’.
