Prince’s family file lawsuit against star’s former doctor for ‘wrongful death’

It has been reported that Prince’s family have filed a lawsuit against the star’s former doctor for ‘wrongful death’. They claim that the failures Dr. Schuleberg made led to his death.

Reported by ABC News and also on Pitchfork, the suit alleges that Dr Michael T. Schulenberg, the expert who treated Prince shortly before his death, “failed to appropriately evaluate, diagnose, treat and counsel Prince for his recognisable opioid addiction.”

The suit claims that he also “failed to take reasonable steps to prevent the foreseeable fatal final result of that addiction.” Prince’s family are only seeking $50,000 in damages in the claim.
