Primavera 2026: Mac DeMarco and Alex G sets cancelled due to adverse weather conditions
Primavera Sound is underway in Barcelona, but the first day of the festival has been met with adverse weather conditions.
Much to the disappointment of many, Alex G and Mac DeMarco, who were both due to perform tonight (June 4th), have had their sets cancelled by the Catalan festival.
Taking to Instagram, they shared with their followers, “Due to adverse weather conditions, Alex G’s performance on the Revolut Stage has been cancelled and Mac DeMarco’s performance on the Occident Stage have been cancelled.”
The statement continued, “We are closely monitoring the situation and will keep you informed as soon as we have further updates.”
The other acts set to perform on the Revolut Stage later today are Blood Orange and Doja Cat. Meanwhile, TV Girl and Overmono are due on the Occident Stage.
Doja Cat has been active on X about the situation, informing her followers, “THE WEATHER IN BARCELONA IS NOT LOOKING GREAT AT THE MOMENT BUT IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG I WILL SEARCH FOR A PLAN B. LETS BOW OUR HEADS AND PRAY TOGETHER BECAUSE I NEED TO SEE MY ANGELS TONIGHT. THIS RAIN WONT STOP OUR FUN”.
She later shared, “BARCELONA Hold my hand and pray with me!”
In her latest post, Doja Cat shared, “IM ON MY WAY TO YOU RIGHT NOW,” which seemingly suggests she will be performing at Primavera Sound tonight.
The stacked line-up for this year’s edition in Barcelona also includes The Cure, Gorillaz, The XX, My Bloody Valentine, Massive Attack, Geese, Kneecap, Cameron Winter, Yard Act, Wet Leg, Blood Orange, Slowdive, and Viagra Boys.
