Pamela Anderson teases ‘Naked Gun’ reboot with Liam Neeson

Hollywood star Pamela Anderson has discussed the new Naked Gun reboot she will star in alongside Liam Neeson.

The upcoming project marks a diversion from Anderson’s most recent role in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl, but she wanted a change of pace after acting in such a serious role. Anderson has confirmed that starring in Naked Gun has allowed her to engage further with her sillier side, as she works alongside Lonely Island’s Akiva Schaffer and Seth MacFarlane.

“It was so fun. I mean, it’s so different than this film [The Last Showgirl],” said Anderson on Late Night with Seth Myers, “It’s a high comedy. I’m literally running into walls, which I’ve always wanted to do.”

Anderson also spoke about working with Neeson, which was an enjoyable experience. “Liam is such a gentleman. He’s such a sweetheart, such a love, and we just had a great connection,” she said, “And Akiva is a wonderful director. But what a difference, going from an indie film to a Paramount Naked Gun.”

Additionally, Anderson confirmed that she had to get used to different recording styles while making the comedy. One of these was to do multiple takes of a scene so that actors could try different jokes before choosing the best one.

“All this Saturday Night Live crew, [Akiva’s] buddies, were there just throwing out jokes,” said Anderson, “Some were funny, some weren’t, but some were – most of them were funny. Liam is hysterical. You’re not going to see it coming. That’s how good he is.”

Neeson has kept information on his performance under wraps. When news first came out that he would be the lead in the comedy, he said, “It’ll either finish my career or bring it in another direction.”

No further information on the plot has been revealed as of yet. The film is set for release on July 18th, 2025.
