Thom Yorke, Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga are among the names nominated for Original Song at the 2019 Oscars. 

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced shortlists in consideration in nine specific categories and, for the first time since 1979, they have released the shortlist for the music categories of Original Score and Original Song.

The 15 finalists named for Original Song includes Thom Yorke’s track ‘Suspirium’ from his debut score for horror remake Suspiria, Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s ‘All The Stars’ for Black Panther, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s song ‘Shallow’ for Coope’s directional debut in A Star Is Born, and plenty more. 

On top of that, Portishead’s Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury receive a nod for Original Score for their work with Annihilation and Alexandre Desplat’s score for Wes Anderson film Isle of Dogs is also included.
