Osbourne family reveal Donald Trump and King Charles sent their condolences following Ozzy’s death
The Osbourne family have revealed Donald Trump and King Charles III both offered private condolences following Ozzy Osbourne‘s death.
Osbourne died on July 22nd at their family home in Buckinghamshire, just weeks after he took to the stage for the final time at Back to the Beginning at Villa Park for his farewell show.
A funeral procession was held in Birmingham on July 30th, which was attended by thousands of fans, before a private memorial service.
Now, in the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Sharon, Jack and Kelly discussed the outpouring of love from the public, as well as people in high places, following the death of the Black Sabbath singer.
In the episode, Jack said of the divisive politician reaching out, “Love him or hate him, (Trump) didn’t have to call and leave a voicemail.”
Sharon, who reminded viewers that she is not American and can’t vote in US elections, explained that she knows Trump from being a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2010, stating of her brief experience in his company, “He was always, ‘How are the children? How’s Kelly? I’m so proud of Kelly and Jack for what they’ve done. And their manners are great.’ And he was just a great guy to talk to, and he has always treated me with respect.”
After reiterating that “I don’t wanna vote” and she “never have, never will”, Sharon continued to praise the president on a personal level, adding, “All I know is he’s treated me with respect, your father with respect. He wanted nothing from us. Nothing. Melania, the same.”
The music mogul, who was almost reduced to tears, then said, “They have been great. And for him to take his time to do that for us, and because, do you know what? He doesn’t live in a bubble. He knows what’s going on in the streets. He knows what is going on. And I can’t say that for our Prime Minister (Keir Starmer).”
Jack then shared that King Charles III was also in contact to offer his condolences, who Sharon labelled as an “amazing person”, before adding, “If he did it for us, you know he does it for many, many, many people.”
She then praised Charles, like Trump, for knowing “what’s going on in the street with people” and said he’s “got a good heart”.
Sharon, who affirmed that she is a “royalist”, explained, “He didn’t have to do certain things that he’s done for Ozzy in the past. Ozzy’s birthday, when Ozzy was sick in hospital with the motorbike accident, he reached out. He’s a good, caring man with a good heart.”
She then went on to reveal, “He, again, took the time out of his day to write us, have it hand delivered to us. A note from the King for Ozzy’s passing with his condolences, and that says so much.”
