Olga Kurylenko, the actress best recognised for her appearance in James Bond film Quantum of Solace, has completely recovered from coronavirus.
The Ukrainian-French actress, who gained international recognition for her with the role as Camille Montes in the 22nd Bond film, revealed the news in a post on social media earlier this month while urging her followers to take the virus seriously.
Now, after a lengthy period of self-isolation, Kurylenko has provided an update to her fans by revealing she has “completely recovered” from the virus that has already killed thousands of people worldwide.
Taking to social media, Kurylenko wrote: “To recapitulate: For one week I felt pretty bad and was mostly in bed, sleeping, with high fever and strong headache. The second week, the fever was gone but some light cough appeared and I felt very tired.
“By the end of the second week I felt totally fine. Cough is almost gone although I still cough in the mornings but then it completely goes away for the day! I’m fine! And now I’m just enjoying this time to reflect on many things and spend my time with my son.”
The ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease was first officially identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei in China. As of March 24th, more than 382,972 cases of COVID-19 have been officially confirmed but the actual number is thought to be much higher due to substantial under-reporting of cases.
With more than 16,585 people having died from the virus, COVID-19 has now spread into more than 180 other countries—including mainland Europe, South America and North America. Given the exponential growth in cases in countries like Italy and Spain, the WHO have now stated that Europe was the current centre of the pandemic.
