Oasis announce exact time pre-sale will begin for reunion tour
After the process was delayed due to an incredible level of demand, Oasis have confirmed when the pre-sale will officially begin for their reunion tour.
Over the last few days since Oasis shocked the world with the long-awaited news that Noel and Liam Gallagher were reuniting the band for a stadium tour in 2025, millions across the United Kingdom and Ireland have been fretting about the prospect of securing tickets.
General sale is set to begin on August 31st at 9am, but there will also be a pre-sale on August 30th for those who were successful in their applications. Fans were asked a series of questions, such as the identity of the original Oasis drummer, and they are set to discover their fate before 5pm on August 30th.
As the demand for pre-sale far outweighs the portion of tickets that are set to be made available, it’s taken longer than anticipated to process the applications.
In a statement, Oasis confirmed: “Due to a last minute surge in pre-sale ballot entries, a number of confirmation emails are still being processed and sent out. The deadline to confirm your entry has now been extended to 10am BST tomorrow morning (Friday 30th August).”
They continued: “If successful in the ballot, you will be contacted tomorrow by 5pm BST with pre-sale access information. Thank you for your patience.”
Now, it’s been revealed by the Manchester Evening News that those who have been successful in the ballot will be able to secure tickets to the reunion tour between 7pm and 10pm on August 30th.
Due to the scale of demand for pre-sale, Oasis have already announced three additional dates to the tour with further shows added in Manchester, Edinburgh and London.
The run of shows will begin with a two-date residency at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff starting on July 4th before Oasis return home to Manchester to perform five shows at Heaton Park.
The Manchester icons are also booked to headline five dates at Wembley Stadium in London as well as host three concerts at the Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. Additionally, the Gallagher’s will visit Ireland for a pair of concerts at Dublin’s Croke Park in August.
If this set of shows sells-out in a matter of minutes, as is expected, it’s possible that Oasis could add even more dates to the tour. The band have maintained that their tour is the only opportunity to see them perform in 2025, confirming they wouldn’t appear at Glastonbury Festival despite rumours linking the group to Worthy Farm.
How much are Oasis tickets?
The cheapest tickets are available in Ireland, Wales and Scotland. The tickets for the show at Dublin’s Croke Park will start from €86.50 (£73), plus booking fees. In Cardiff, they’ll be £73 for seating or £150 to be standing. In Glasgow, they’re expected to go from £74 for a seated ticket or £151 for general admission standing.
For a chance to see Oasis in their hometown city of Manchester, fans will need around £148.50 just for general admission standing. As Heaton Park is an outdoor venue, there is no seated tickets available.
Tickets for the London show are even more expensive. Seats at one of their Wembley shows will start from £101.75. To be among the riff-raff, expect to cough up around £151.25 for a standing ticket, making it the most expensive general admission ticket of the tour.
