Noel Gallagher says Oasis reunion will be a “lap of honour”

Noel Gallagher has discussed the upcoming Oasis reunion tour, suggesting that the shows will be less raucous than they were during the band’s heyday.

In the summer, Oasis sent shockwaves throughout the world as they announced their plans to play a series of comeback shows in 2025. The reunion tour will bring Oasis together on stage for the first time in over 15 years, with shows across the United Kingdom, North America, Japan and more.

Now, Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher has spoken about the upcoming reunion tour for the first time, suggesting that due to their age, it will be much mellower than the shows they played in the 1990s. “No, it won’t be as raucous as back in the day,” Gallagher commented via The Sun, “because we’re on the wrong side of 50 now, so we’re too old.”

Oasis became almost as well-known for their behind-the-scenes arguments as they were for their anthemic Britpop hits, but Gallagher has suggested that those squabbles won’t be present on the reunion tour. “We’re too old to give a shit now, so there won’t be any fallouts,” he added, “there won’t be any fighting.”

Gallagher concluded by describing the tour as “a lap of honour for the band.”

Where will Oasis play?

The UK and Ireland leg of the Oasis reunion tour will kick off with two shows at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales early next July. The band will then play five huge shows at Heaton Park in their home city of Manchester, followed by five nights at Wembley Stadium in London.

Oasis will round out their first stint in the UK and Ireland with shows in Edinburgh and Dublin, before flying to North America at the end of August. After two shows in Canada, the Britpop outfit will play across the United States with dates in Illinois, New Jersey and California.

After two shows at Estadio GNP Seguros in mid-September, the band will return to their homeland for another pair of shows at Wembley Stadium towards the end of the month. Later in the autumn, they will embark upon a series of shows across Asia, Australia, and South America.

The reunion tour is currently set to conclude at MorumBIS in São Paulo, Brazil on November 23rd, 2025, just over a year from now.

Most of the reunion shows have already sold out, reflecting the high demand for the reunion, but tickets for the dates in Japan are yet to go on sale. General on-sale for the two shows at the Tokyo Dome will begin on December 7th, 2024.
