Nine Inch Nails to record a new album and tour in 2020


Nine Inch Nails are preparing to make a major return in 2020 with new material and accompanying tour dates.

The band, made up of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, have been busy working on side projects as the duo focused on a creating a series of award-winning film scores for numerous high-profile films.

Given their individual commitments, Nine Inch Nails has remained quiet since the release of 2018 record Bad Witch which was followed by a string of sold-out tour dates. Now though, it appears that they’re gearing up for another return.

Nine Inch Nails fans have been on their best detective work on Reddit and have uncovered an interview Reznor has conducted with Revolver magazine. While the feature is not scheduled to be released until 2020, portions of quite have made it online which reveals the new material plans.

While the interview focuses on Reznor’s TV and film work, it does look toward the next step for Nine Inch Nails briefly: “But Nine Inch Nails is not forgotten,” the article says. “The band recently released ‘the definitive edition’ of its 2005 album With Teeth, and in 2020, Reznor and Ross plan to take the group back out on tour, as well as record new NIN music.”

The article will be the cover story of Revolver with the issue including a full black and white image of Reznor on its front page.
