Watch Nine Inch Nails cover David Bowie song ‘Fashion’

Nine Inch Nails duo Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross join forces with members of a Bowie alumni band to share a cover of the iconic 1980 single ‘Fashion’.

Alongside the Nine Inch Nails members is Reznor’s wife, Mariqueen Maandig Reznor who helps out on vocal duties. The rest of the band is made up of guitarists Carlos Alomar and Gerry Leonard, bassist Mark Plati, Mike Garson on the piano, drummer Sterling Campbell and Catherine Russell who is on backing vocal duties.

The special rendition, which comes with its own music video, was to remember David Bowie on what would have been his 74th birthday. The cover also comes with a charitable message as the supergroup urges listeners to make a donation to Save The Children.

“On January 9, 2021, Trent Reznor, Mariqueen Maandig Reznor, and Atticus Ross helped celebrate David Bowie’s life and legacy by performing a rendition of ‘Fashion’ for A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day!” a description from Rolling Live Studios stated.

“Even with COVID restrictions leaving us with a limited crew, the show went on and received great reviews and reception. We worked with the NIN creative camp after the concert livestream cutting together this performance to include the Bowie alumni band members who played with Trent, Mariqueen and Atticus – this is the performance we wanted everyone to see during the livestream and are thrilled you get the chance to now do so.”
