Nine Inch Nails confirm plans to tour in 2025
Nine Inch Nails have announced plans to tour later this year following Trent Reznor’s recent confirmation that new material is in the works.
The band, which formed back in 1988, rose to prominence with albums like Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral. While Reznor and fellow Nine Inch Nails member Atticus Ross have been busy over the past few years making movie soundtracks, they’re planning on releasing a new Nine Inch Nails album in the near future.
To coincide with the upcoming material, they are set to tour this year, which would be their first since 2020’s Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts. The details of the new tour are limited, with the band taking to social media to break the news following rumours circling online.
On Instagram, the band wrote: “Since some dates and information about our world tour have leaked we are confirming that yes we will be touring and will provide more details soon.”
“We are all watching the devastation that is unfolding in California and have paused our announcement while people try to deal with all that is happening,” they added in reference to the wildfires destroying countless homes and infrastructure in Los Angeles.
Since Nine Inch Nails’ last album, Reznor and Ross have provided the soundtracks to movies like The Killer, Queer, and Challengers, recently winning a Golden Globe for the latter.
In December, Reznor told The Hollywood Reporter that Nine Inch Nails are working on a new project, explaining, “We’re ready to be back in the driver’s seat.”
