Ciao! We’re in Italy this week.

For only the second time on our journey we’re in Europe. A particularly insightful and somewhat challenging look at Sweden has been surrounded by our visits to Nigeria, Mexico, Japan and most recently New Zealand.

Ennio Morricone and Broadcast are just two of the names that jump out on our digital page as we extend the Night Trippin’ intrigue into Italy’s fondness for horror.

Morricone, the iconic Italian composer and orchestrator conductor, has  composed over 400 scores for cinema and television, as well as over 100 classical works. His CV includes a relentless amount if highly celebrated works such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Battle of Algiers, The Hateful Eight and countless others.

Having received the Academy Honorary Award for his “magnificent and multifaceted contributions to the art of film music,” Morricone’s influence on classical, cinematic and popular music knows no bounds — something the latest episode of Night Trippin’ hopes to touch on.

As Always, presenter Steven Dove and Far Out’s Lee Thomas will be spinning the records and talking about all things Italian.

Expect, OST’s, classic pop jams, horror film trailers and some wonderfully eerie compositions from the likes of Mario Schifano, Broadcast, Sensations Fix, Ennio Morricone and Father Murphy.
