Arthur Cave, the son of Nick Cave has tragically died following a fall from a cliff in East Sussex.
Arthur, who is a twin, was found at the bottom of the cliff at Ovingdean Gap in Sussex yesterday evening. The twin sons, Arthur and Earl were born in 2000 to mother Susie Bick, a former British model, police have confirmed the 15-year-old’s death.
The Bad Seeds frontman and his wife Susie have paid an emotional tribute to their son Arthur. They said: “Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy loving boy.”
The added: “We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time.”
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “A 15-year-old boy who was found with life threatening injuries on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap, having fallen from the cliff above, has sadly died in hospital.
“Members of the public carried out first aid on the boy before he was taken to hospital just after 6pm. He later died there of his injuries.
“The death is being dealt by the coroner’s officer.”
Although first aid was carried out at the scene, the 57-year-old’s son later died from his injuries in the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
