New Ozzy Osbourne documentary to focus on musician’s health issues

A new Ozzy Osbourne documentary will be released later this year. It will focus on the singer’s long-running health issues and the medical battles he’s faced in recent years.

With Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s last-ever gig booked for July 2025, there has been a renewed interest in the singer and his health issues. As the concert has to work around Osbourne’s physical capabilities, it was announced that he wouldn’t be performing a full set with his old band as he said, “I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath, but I am doing little bits and pieces with them. I am doing what I can where I feel comfortable.”

In 2023, Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease and has struggled greatly ever since, with his condition worsening following a bad fall in 2019. Compacted with other health complications, it has meant that the singer can no longer walk and struggles to be mobile.

However, he has never gone in depth on the health issues he faces, until now. A documentary called Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now is in the works to be released later this year.

Echo Velvet, the production company behind the film, posted on Instagram that it “peers behind Ozzy’s public persona to reveal the devastating setbacks he has faced since his fateful fall in 2019.”

They added: “This is Ozzy Osbourne like you’ve never seen before: an honest, warm and deeply personal portrait of one of the greatest rock stars of all time, detailing how the singer’s world shuddered to a halt six years ago, forcing him to contemplate who he really is, confront his own mortality and question whether or not he can ever perform on stage for one last time.”

Promising an intimate and revealing look into Osbourne’s health and home life, there is no exact release date yet. Filming started back in 2022 and is expected to continue into the summer, capturing the singer’s farewell show.
