A new book collecting Norman Seeff’s photographs of the legendary Joni Mitchell is on the way very soon.
The book, which will collect most of the work he compiled across over a decade of working closely with the enigmatic artist, has been highly celebrated and is eagerly anticipated by Mitchell’s fanbase.
Joni Mitchell: The Norman Seeff Sessions is the title and is due out on November 6th via Insight Editions. The release also coincides with Mitchell’s 75th birthday, which takes place the following day.
Seeff’s photographs of Mitchell have appeared on her album covers for 1976’s Hejira and 1977’s Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter. The book explores the artist further with Seeff and Mitchell maintaining a close friendship throughout their work, allowing Seeff to get shots others couldn’t.
