Bob Dylan extends current US tour once again
Bob Dylan is displaying no signs of stopping his life on the road, having just announced a new run of dates across the US this year.
It comes just weeks after the iconic singer announced a fresh run of shows across the country lasting until July. Intriguingly, it seemed to signal the end of his five-year Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, with the new dates billed as Bob Dylan in Concert.
Dylan is currently in the midst of a run of shows in America, where he will next perform on April 22nd in Macon, Georgia.
However, prior to the fresh announcement on April 21st, his schedule saw his last shows of the year being performed on July 24th and 25th in Vienna, Virginia. Now, the rest of his calendar for the month of July has been filled out.
On top of his previously scheduled dates, Dylan has added 13 new dates to the tour, beginning on July 8th at the Huntington Bank Pavilion and wrapping up on August 1st at the Ascend Federal Credit Union Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee.
Although Dylan has announced these shows so far, there is every possibility that he could extend the tour again further into more dates and locations, as is his custom of doing.
Despite this, among the freshly-revealed gigs there is a particularly notable date, as Dylan will take to the stage at the Forest Hills Stadium in New York for the first time in over 10 years on July 21st.
For that special date, he will be joined by fellow folk and rock legends Luncinda Williams and Jimmie Vaughan as his support acts, with the latter having supported him on the 2024 leg of his tour.
Although Dylan is predominantly focused on performing these days, he also recently curiously launched a Patreon account where he is sharing fan-fiction writing to readers who sign up and pay their membership for the channel.
