Netflix UK reveals the most-watched shows of 2019
Netflix UK has shared the list of the top-watched shows of 2019. Big hits from the year, such as After Life, The Witcher, and Stranger Things, all make the list.
While a range of lists have emerged over the last few days, the big one came in the form of the “most watched release” of 2019, and the documentary focusing on Madeline McCann’s disappearance topped the list.
Closely behind the doc was Ryan Reynolds and Michael Bay’s blockbuster action film, 6 Underground, with that release followed by Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler’s film Murder Mystery.
While spots were on the list for mega-releases Stranger Things, The Irishman, and After Life, remarkably, the third series of The Crown—featuring Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham Carter—did not make the cut.
The list is compiled by focusing on UK Netflix accounts that have watched at least two minutes of a title during its first 28 days of release this year. The full list is below.
