Neil Young details the release of new EP ‘The Times’ through Amazon Music
As though he wasn’t already busy enough, the prolific rocker Neil Young has announced yet another new project.
Young, who has been dipping into his extensive back catalogue and announced his plans to release three new archival projects, has now followed it up with the revelation that the veteran musician will also share his new The Times EP.
Now, discussing the project in more detail, Young has revealed that the EP will be exclusively released to Amazon Music HD on September 18th. “I’m on Amazon Music because no one delivers better sound to the masses,” Young said when explaining his reason to work with Amazon.
While fans are understandably excited for the new material, a standout moment on the seven-track EP will be Young’s track ‘Lookin’ For A Leader’ which has been reworked as a direct criticism of President Donald Trump and changed to ‘Lookin’ For A Leader 2020′.
“I invite the President to play this song at his next rally,” Young previously said. “A song about the feelings many of us have about America today, it’s part of the The Times, an EP coming soon from Reprise Records — my home since 1968.”
