Neil Young and Crazy Horse to record first new in seven years
Neil Young and Crazy Horse are heading back into the studio to record their first new together in seven years.
It was this time last year that the two decided to reunite for their first show together in four years and, at the time, Young stated that the occasion marked “the beginning of another beautiful chapter” in their history.
Now, it seems, the next chapter is about to begin. Responding a question from one of his fans on his ongoing Archives website, Young said: “Crazy Horse is about to enter the studio with 11 new ones,” before later adding: “We sincerely hope [fans] enjoy our new music when it is released this year, because we know we will enjoy making it.”
The new record will mark the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2012’s Psychedelic Pill album and will see them add to the extensive previously released records with Crazy Horse.
Previously talking about The Neil Young Archives, which gives fans access to his back catalogue of audio and visual content, he said: “This is a life’s work.”
He added: “It will never be finished.”
In other Young-related news, he’ll be hitting the road in May which will see him end up in London for the major Hyde Park show with Bob Dylan. See tour dates below.
