10-year-old Nandi Bushell challenges Dave Grohl to a drum battle with epic Foo Fighters cover
Nandi Bushell, the 10-year-old drumming sensation, has challenged Dave Grohl to a drum-off with a sensational cover of his band Foo Fighters.
Following the viral sensation of a Nirvana cover, Bushell has been on a meteoric rise as she hones her musical skills with prolific effect. Now, she has thrown another cover out to the masses and it is just as good, if not better than anything she’s done before. The cover is the young drummer’s sensational attempt at the Foo Fighters song ‘Everlong’ and marks her out as one of the best musicians in the world for her age.
Bushell, whose rise to fame has been built around her desire, has also appeared on hit television show Ellen to display her love for Dave Grohl by covering Nirvana track ‘In Bloom’. “On Saturdays and Sundays, [my family and I] make pancakes, and I listen to the Beatles, and I saw the drum kit and Ringo Starr,” she told the host. “He just inspired me to play the drums.”
Now, while challenging Grohl to a drum competition, the youngster has detailed her dream to jam with Foo Fighters with her recent effort: “My dream is to one day jam with Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins and all the Foo Fighters,” the youngster wrote in the accompanying description of her cover.
“Mr Grohl I would love to have a drum battle with you! I LOVE Everlong, it’s really hard to play as it’s so fast but so much FUN!”
