A series of “mind-blowing” Prince recordings are set to be released, according to an advisor to the late artist’s estate.
Prince, who died in April 2016, left behind a wide range of previously unreleased material. Troy Carter, a source close to Prince’s estate and Spotify as the global head of creative services, has revealed the latest news
“He was a guy who practically lived in a recording studio, and once we started going through [the unreleased material] we really started finding some gems,” Carter told Variety. “I heard some music the other night that was pretty mind-blowing and we’re getting some stuff mixed right now. We’ve got great projects in the works that I’m excited to talk about.
“So the answer is yes, there will be unreleased Prince music coming soon,” Carter added.
Despite promising new material, Carter did not share any potential dates around the release of the music.
