Millie Bobby Brown claims final ‘Stranger Things’ series required her “inner Tom Cruise”

Millie Bobby Brown has claimed that the final series of Stranger Things required her to channel her “inner Tom Cruise” into a series of stunts for her character, Eleven.

The actor opened up about the high-octane step up of her role in the highly anticipated fifth and final series of the Netflix show, at an event in Los Angeles on November 8th.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, she said: “I feel like the Duffers have been training me for this moment.”

Referencing the show’s co-creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, she added that although much of her character’s storylines in previous series of Stranger Things have been more emotionally-charged, “It was really exciting to be more of a resource this season, not just because of her [Eleven’s] powers but also her physical training and attributes that she’s put herself through.”

Without giving away any details on the stunts, Brown said: “It was really fun, I definitely channelled my inner Tom Cruise,” before adding, “I feel like Volume One only touches on what she’s been training for, and I’m really excited for everyone to see what that leads to.”

Despite the speculation and excitement ahead of the show’s conclusion, the actor has been at the heart of the current drama surrounding the production of Stranger Things, after reports recently circulated that she had sued her co-star David Harbour for harassment after allegations of bullying on set.

However, a fresh report from Variety indicates that the pair – who play father and daughter in the show – have now reached a settlement in their dispute, although details of this, nor of the nature of the original matter, have been made public.

Volume One, which contains the first four episodes of Stranger Things series five, will be released on Netflix from November 26th, while Volume Two will follow on December 25th, and the finale on December 31st.
