New report suggests Millie Bobby Brown complaints against David Harbour are “resolved”
Despite news of an alleged complaint on the set of Stranger Things, inside sources have reportedly shared that the issues between Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour have been resolved.
On November 1st, Radar Online reported that Harbour had reportedly been the subject of an internal inquiry after Brown filed a formal complaint.
Allegedly, a source revealed, “Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.”
However, on November 7th, Variety reported that there had been an investigation into Brown’s complaint and that it was resolved. They did not go on to clarify when, or how, this came about. As father and daughter on the show, Brown and Harbour share much screen time in Season five of the series.
This news comes after the pair reunited at the red carpet for the season five premiere. They could be seen acting friendly towards one another. They both spoke positively about their on-set experiences while taking questions on the red carpet.
In this vein, co-creators The Duffer Brothers also commented on the recent news while at the official premiere. Ross Duffer shared, “Obviously, you understand I can’t get into personal onset matters, but I will say we’ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they’re family and we deeply care about them. So, you know, nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.”
Executive Producer Shawn Levy added to this, clarifying how he makes everyone feel safe and comfortable on set: “You have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build that environment. And we’re proud of the fact that we did so.”
He continued, “I’ve read a bunch of stories and they range from wildly inaccurate to… there’s so much noise around it. But the truth is that we view this crew and this cast as family, and so we treat each other with respect, and that’s always been bedrock.”
