Michael Myers performs heavy metal cover of John Carpenter’s ‘Halloween’ theme

Jason Richardson, the guitarist best known for his work in the bands All Shall Perish, Born of Osiris, and Chelsea Grin, has added some heavy metal sounds to John Carpenter’s iconic Halloween theme.

In celebration of October 31st and in conjunction with the recent release of David Gordon Green’s new film, Richardson joined forces with musician Ernie Ball for a twist on the classic Michael Myers saga.

Richardson, donning the same mask used in Green’s recent sequel film, moves ominously in and out of the shadows while ripping on the guitar—his now somewhat trademark style of extremely fast and technical playing.

That, on top of the VHS style video effects overlapping the footage, makes for great viewing.
