A crowd of Arctic Monkeys fans joined forces with a street busker in Manchester to put together a flawless rendition of fan favourite track ‘Mardy Bum’.
The astonishing moment came after Arctic Monkeys’ sell-out show at Manchester Arena on Friday evening and, after the band skipped the track from their setlist, some diehard fans took to the streets to perform their own version. Jack Smart, the performer on the guitar, lead the song as hundreds joined in.
Having already introduced ‘Dancing Shoes’ for the first time in years the night before, Arctic Monkeys decided to give ‘Science Fiction’ a run out for the first time as their UK tour begins to gain on that already ferocious pace.
The band, returning to the UK for the first time in years, are touring their new record Tranquillity Base Hotel and Casino and produced a rousing set of their extensive back catalogue.
However, ‘Mardy Bum’ was not part of that back catalogue. Did the fans in Manchester care? No, not really…
