Watch Arctic Monkeys play ‘Dancing Shoes’ for first time in years

Arctic Monkeys pulled out fans favourite ‘Dancing Shoes’ for the UK tour opener in Manchester.

The track, which appeared on 2006 album Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not, was last played by the band way back in 2014. The last time Turner and co. performed the song live came during a performance at Rio de Janiero’s HSBC Arena on November 15, 2014.

The band, returning to the UK for the first time in years, are touring their new record Tranquillity Base Hotel and Casino and produced a rousing set of their extensive back catalogue.

Opening up with ‘Four Out of Five’, the Monkeys then rolled into ‘Brianstorm’ before ‘Snap Out of It’, ‘Crying Lightning’, ‘Teddy Picker’ and ‘505’ followed in quick pursuit.

An encore of ‘Star Treatment’, ‘Arabella’ and ‘R U Mine’ was enough to leave the Manchester crowd duly satisfied but it was a tour debut of ‘Dancing Shoes’ which whipped them up into a frenzy.
