Man who was jailed for charging at Ariana Grande removed from Lady Gaga concert
An Australian man, who recently served a prison sentence for charging at Ariana Grande, was removed from a Lady Gaga concert in Australia.
Johnson Wen, a 26-year-old from Australia, pleaded guilty to being a public nuisance after the incident at the Wicked: For Good premiere in Singapore on November 13th.
Following his plea, Wen was sentenced to a nine-day prison sentence and deported back to Australia.
Prior to the incident at the Wicked: For Good premiere, Wen had already amassed a reputation on social media for his exploits at public events, including invading the stage at concerts by Katy Perry, The Weeknd, and The Chainsmokers, as well as at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
However, before he could get up to any trouble, Wen was escorted out of the venue at Lady Gaga’s show at the SunCorp Stadium in Brisbane on December 9th.
The online prankster, who goes by the name ‘Pyjamaman’, was filmed being taken out of the venue by security, as the Brisbane crowd watched on and cheered at his dismissal from the stadium.
Wen attempted to conceal his identity by wearing a wig and sunglasses, but that wasn’t elaborate enough to fool security, who made sure that he didn’t hear a single song.
Following the incident, he took to Instagram to write, “Got kicked out of Lady Gaga concert. The show doesn’t start till 8pm. The early fans were booing me.”
At the court hearing in Singapore in November, Wen told the judge that he “won’t do it again”, to which the judge questioned, “Are you paying lip service or is this your intention?”, before Wen replied: “Yes, I’m going to stop.”
