Police have confirmed that a man was arrested over the weekend after he climbed a speaker during Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival.
The Met confirmed that a 34-year-old had been charged with ‘breach of the peace’ after scaling the speaker during Liam Gallagher’s performance at the event. Gallagher, who alerted stage security to the man climbing the speaker stack, then took to the mic to say “jump or get down” which saw the crowd start to boo the man.
“Police can confirm that a 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with a breach of the peace after he climbed part of the speaker stack during the Liam Gallagher set at TRNSMT festival on Saturday 30 June 2018,” police said.
“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
