Madonna announces official release of Sabrina Carpenter collaboration, ‘Bring Your Love’
Madonna has announced that the new duet she performed with Sabrina Carpenter at Coachella, ‘Bring Your Love’, is being officially released.
The pair made the joint announcement via Instagram on April 27th, captioning the post with the words: “We’ve got something to say about it”.
They previously debuted the song during Carpenter’s headline set at Coachella on April 17th, during which Madonna appeared as a surprise guest to perform some of her biggest hits, including ‘Vogue’.
During this appearance, they also performed ‘Bring Your Love’, with lyrics that included: “Bring your love, because you cannot shake me, bring your love, because you’ll never break me, bring your love, because you cannot take me down.”
Later in the song, Madonna refuses to “compromise” while the two intermittently ask one another whether they have “something to say” about the matter.
After catching fans’ attention at Coachella and on social media, the pair have announced that the song will be officially released on April 30th at 3pm Pacific Standard Time.
It comes as the first new song to arrive as part of Madonna’s latest musical era, with her upcoming album Confessions II set for release on July 3rd.
Having not put out a new album since 2019, the record is set to serve as a follow-up to the singer’s iconic Confessions on a Dancefloor in 2005, which spawned major global hits such as ‘Hung Up’.
During her appearance alongside Carpenter at Coachella, after performing ‘Bring Your Love’, Madonna told the crowd it was a “thrill” and “full circle moment” to be back at the festival, where she had performed 20 years prior to the day.
However, the high point of the event was a little dampened after the Queen of Pop had to take to social media in the days afterwards, appealing to fans for the return of the outfit she was wearing after it was allegedly stolen from the event.
