Mac DeMarco has been talking through his somewhat chaotic creative process during an interview from his home recording bunker.
Teaming up with Pyramids and playing around with their Stereo Flanging Device… which, according to its description, is armed with five presets, eight flanger modes, tap tempo, tap subdivision, a multifunction Modify control, positive and negative Feedback and a variable Mix control, DeMarco gives an insight into how his hit records are made.
At one point, while playing the guitar, he says: “It sounds like there’s a beautiful lil’ choir of baby chicks singing along with me.”
