Lily Allen is selling ‘West End Girl’ on a butt plug shaped USB

Lily Allen has launched an online merchandise store to promote her latest album, West End Girl, and has included a USB drive designed to look like a butt plug in the launch.

The star’s first album in seven years was a thumping, confessional expose about the ins and outs of her broken-down marriage with Stranger Things actor, David Harbour. It was released at the end of October.

In one of the songs, titled ‘Pussy Palace’, Allen sings about finding her partner cheating on her through a mysterious purchase: “Duane Reade bag with the handles tied / sex toys, butt plugs, lube inside”, she sings, disheartened.

As one of the most widely resonating lyrics on the album, Allen has capitalised on the interest in the motif and has revealed that she will be selling a limited quantity of USB drives containing a copy of West End Girl.

The butt plug USBs are adorned with a blue and white polka-dot design. They are similar to the jacket the star is dressed in on the album cover.

The product comes with a warning: “This product is a novelty USB device intended for data storage only,” the website reads.

The novelty product is available on December 19th and will set fans back $33.99. It’s unclear whether it will be delivered in time for Christmas Day.

Due to the success of the quasi-fictional project, the ‘Smile’ singer has announced two sets of tour dates around the UK, the first being a run of theatrical venues before moving on to arenas.

The ‘Ruminanting’ singer has also been confirmed as one of the headliners for the Mighty Hoopla festival next year, alongside Scissor Sisters, Jessie J, and Liberty.

The star will soon appear on the late-night sketch show Saturday Night Live on December 13th. Listen to the track that inspired the new merchandise, ‘Pussy Palace’, below.
