Those young upstarts LIFE have announced that there will be a new album on the way before the end of the year, as A Picture of Good Health will arrive September 20th. But for now, they’ve released new single ‘Hollow Thing’ and it’s our Track of the Day.

The album A Picture of Good Health is the follow up to the widely loved album Popular Music which thrust LIFE into the hearts and minds of all who heard it. The band rest on a few artistic pillars to produce their sound: riffs, authenticity and no fear. These are the values they give every track and every track is the better for them.

The latest offering to get the snarling punk treatment from the Yorkshire band is ‘Hollow Thing’ which has all the punching power of a drunken football fan on marching powder. What they lack in ‘technique’ they make up for with buckets and buckets of passion.

‘Hollow Thing’ may be one of the band’s most stylised tracks to date but it doesn’t lose any of the grit and granite the group have made their burgeoning name on. Allowing complex and engaging themes to tangle with the ferocity of their punk-driven sonics, LIFE are quickly becoming a vital band.

Take a listen to ‘Hollow Thing’ below.
