Liam Gallagher teases Oasis plans for 2026 despite previous comments
Liam Gallagher has hinted that there may be Oasis live shows in 2026, despite previously stating otherwise.
Earlier in December, the frontman replied to a question posed to him on X, writing, “We’re not doing anything in 2026 sorry”.
Now, Liam appears to have gone back on those claims in a new post on X, in response to another fan who wrote, “Oasis 2025 will officially be over in a day.” Adding fuel to the flames, Liam replied, “Bring on 2027 I mean 2026 I mean happy easter.”
This is in direct contrast with a previous post, in which Liam wrote, “I don’t [have] snizzle to do until 2027 I mean happy Christmas.”
Liam also kept the rumours going by posting about any future setlists, in the hypothetical event that the band do tour again. After a fan begged for the Oasis tune, ‘Listen Up’, to be added to their setlist, he wrote, “If we tour again there will be changes to the set list thems the rules.”
Another fan requested their tune ‘Columbia’, which Liam appeared to confirm, writing, “Oh, it’ll be there if we tour again.”
These posts fall in line with what Liam told the crowd at their last Wembley show of their comeback tour in September. He yelled, “See you next year!” to the tens of thousands of attendees, before slapping himself on the wrist in mock punishment.
Oasis, consisting now of Liam, brother Noel, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Joey Waronker, posted an official message in November after the 41-date tour took them around the globe. “And so it came to pass,” they wrote.
They continued, “From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten,” before adding, “There will now be a pause for a period of reflection.”
