While Liam Gallagher may be known as a bit of a loudmouth, his latest post on social media hints that the former Oasis frontman does have a big heart after al, announcing a new initiative to help combat homelessness in Britain; ‘Part with your Parka’.

The Why Me? Why Not? singer has jumped on to his social media to ask his many fans to part with their coat or parka to donate to charitable organisation Shelter as part of their latest drive to provide homeless people with a new warm winter coat.

The donation campaign will also offer fans the chance to not only donate their coat but to be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to Gallagher’s UK tour which starts this month. It’s a welcomed departure from LG’s usual Noel bashing to encourage people to think about homelessness in the UK.

“Calling all Parka Monkeys,” he said on social media. “No one plans on being homeless. Yet 5,000 people in the UK sleep on the streets on any given night. We’re asking you to help this winter by donating a coat or parka. In return for your donation, you’ll have the chance to win a pair of tickets, plus a meet and greet with Liam (one winner for each show on the UK Nov tour).”

You can donate and find more information, here.
