Has Liam Gallagher dropped a hint that new music could soon be on the way?

Liam Gallagher has finally used his Twitter for something other than bashing his fellow musicians as the former Oasis singer uses the platform to drop a large hint that new music is on the way soon.

In a revealing tweet, the ‘Once’ singer used his Twitter account to share the message his fans have been waiting for since the arrival of Why Me? Why Not? – new music could be on the way.

Gallagher tweeted: “Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open 31st January something very special for you all.” Could this be the song Gallagher mentioned earlier in the year?

Earlier this month, the Oasis singer wrote on Twitter: “I wrote a song last year called The worlds in need…might have to release it doesn’t matter if it’s out of tune as it’s true c’mon you know LG x (sic).”

After tweeting the message he then appeared to be sharing lyrics from the song: “It’s calling me it’s calling you listen up let’s get to you know I need a sign for peace of mind the worlds in need send gods speed c’mon you know LFUKING x (sic)

Could this be a part of the album Gallagher teased late last year? In an interview with Zane Lowe in October, on Beats 1 Radio, LG revealed the title of his next album.

During the interview, the pair covered off a few notable subjects, including Noel, the recent album Why Me? Why Not? and also new projects on the horizon. One such project is his third album and during the conversation, LG let slip the title, “Yeah. The next one is going to be called ‘Come On You Know’, pure positive. Right legit. As soon as I get the titles man, we are off.”

Lowe followed up by asking whether this title was also inspired by a painting like his last record. The Why Me? Why Not? title deriving from a painting that was given to him by John Lennon’s wife Yoko Ono. To which he responded,”I probably had a bit of something … Come on you know!”
