Liam Gallagher’s guilty pleasure? Listening to Britpop rivals Blur
So it seems the war is over. Blur v Oasis is over. So if you know of any Northern plants in the Essex countryside slowly biding their time before launching an attack on an unsuspecting Damon Albarn, tell them to stop. Liam Gallagher has revealed that his guilty pleasure is, in fact, Blur.
The Why Me? Why Not? singer may be expecting another number one to his name but it appears he has let go of the chart battles of the past. During an interview with Vogue, as part of their ’73 Questions’ segment, the former Oasis frontman revealed that he had a newfound soft spot for the Albarn fronted band.
The interview also sees Gallagher share the nicest thing his brother Noel ever did for him, as well as, the best thing his mum Peggy ever taught him. Possibly, more importantly, he also revealed his favourite Oasis songs of all time. (And that his spirit animal is a dolphin).
It’s not all sweetness and light though as he also said Blur were overrated and that Oasis were underrated, so maybe there’s still a bit of fight in the old dog yet.
