Leonardo DiCaprio is “proud” of Margot Robbie’s career
Leonardo DiCaprio has shared the reason why he is proud of The Wolf of Wall Street co-star Margot Robbie.
Joining Dev Griffin on the Heart Evening Show, DiCaprio was happy to share kind words about his previous co-star, Robbie. But the kind words came from the Barbie actor first, who had a message for DiCaprio: “I’ve actually heard the movie [One Battle After Another] is incredible. Like, Incredible. I’m dying to see it. Just say Margot says hi!”
When DiCaprio was asked whether he wanted to pass a message back to his former colleague and friend, he shared, “She knows how proud I am of her. It’s amazing. She came on in the audition process for The Wolf of Wall Street, and I said, ‘This person is going to have an incredible career.’”
He added, “But again, what she did with that opportunity and type of artistry that she’s put up on screen, the choices that she’s made, it’s absolutely incredible. It’s fantastic.”
Robbie has been the centre of much hype in the film world lately, as she is set to star alongside Jacob Elordi in Emerald Fennell’s upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights. In the movie, Robbie stars as the lead character of Catherine Earnshaw, opposite Elordi as Heathcliff. It is set for a February 2026 cinematic release.
DiCaprio was in discussion alongside Benicio Del Toro in support of their new movie, One Battle After Another. In a glowing four-star review of the action film, Far Out wrote, ” There’s the classic energy of an action flick, but this one is packed with downright silly humour that lightens the load and keeps things entertaining as well as engaging. There is also a real, genuine heart that is carried by the father-daughter dynamic between DiCaprio and Infiniti’s roles. For Infiniti, this is a star-making picture.”
