Lena Dunham has been unveiled as co-host alongside Ben Lee as they prepare an evening of “psychological exploration” into the Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher.
The live event, which will be taking place in Los Angeles in November, will welcome ‘special guests’ for the night which will include multiple readings and songs. The event has been named ‘Champagne Superanalysis’.
The basis of this evening was sparked by the hit 2016 documentary Supersonic which explored the journey of Oasis and unveiled the deep-seeded difficulties of the relationship between Noel and Liam Gallagher. The idea of ‘Champagne Superanalysis’ was dreamt up by Dunham having watched the film, she tweeted: “I watched the Oasis documentary and I have a LOT of big opinions about the Gallagher brothers’ relationship!” What ensued was a dialogue between Dunham and Lee to plan the event.
“A psychological exploration of the Gallagher Brothers through song and readings,” the description reads. “When you arrive at Will Call on the night of the show, seats will be assigned first come first served, from the front of the theatre to the back. If you want to sit closer, be sure to come earlier.”
