Larry David confirms ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ is ending after 12th season

Larry David has announced details of the 12th season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which he says will act as the show’s final chapter.

The last series of the hit sit-com, which stars David playing a fictionalised version himself, is set to begin on February 4th, 2024, on HBO. The Curb Your Enthusiasm finale is scheduled to be broadcast on the network on April 7th.

In a statement, David revealed plans to bid farewell to the show, writing: “As ‘Curb’ comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character.”

David continued: “And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”

Additionally, HBO CEO Casey Bloys said: “It’s hard to say farewell to such a ground-breaking, brilliantly funny and iconic series like Curb Your Enthusiasm, which has left its mark across television and the comedy genre.”

“Working alongside Larry David and Jeff Schaffer as well as all of the comedic masterminds that comprise our producers, cast and crew has been a joy that I will always treasure,” Bloys concluded.

As of yet, the storyline hasn’t been revealed for the upcoming season but Tracey Ullman has been listed as a cast member, therefore, fans should anticipate her return as Irma Kostroski. Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines, J.B. Smoove, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson and Vince Vaughn are also set to reprise their roles.

No trailer has been released for the forthcoming season, but it should arrive in due course.
