Kyle MacLachlan is hosting a virtual 'Twin Peaks' viewing party

Kyle MacLachlan, the actor best known for playing the role of Agent Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks, is planning something special for the show’s anniversary.

Twin Peaks, the now-iconic mystery drama TV series created by Mark Frost and David Lynch, will celebrate its 30th anniversary on April 8th. While rumours continue to circle about a potential new series, MacLachlan is spending some time revisiting old material with his planned viewing party.

“I’m channelling my inner Beethoven,” MacLachlan said while speaking to the camera in reference to his typically unique hairstyle: “So listen, I’ve been noticing that some of you have been watching and rewatching, and some discovering for the first time Twin Peaks, so I thought why don’t we set up a time when we can watch your favourite episode together.”

MacLachlan’s plan comes as millions of people remain quarantined in self-isolation amid strict social distancing measures. Encouraging some interaction, the actor wants Twin Peaks fans to message him with their favourite episode suggestions: Alongside the video he wrote: “Let me know in the comments below which episode from season one or two you’d want to watch the most and we’ll watch it together.

“Damn good idea!”
