The prolific Australian psyche group King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have returned with their brand new single ‘Honey’.
The new track, which arrives as the band’s first material of 2020, premiered alongside the visuals featuring band frontman Stu Mackenzie playing the guitar in a number cinematic locations.
“I wrote this song a couple of years ago. It’s nice to have it out in the world,” Mackenzie said in an accompanying statement upon its release.
“Shot at sunset during the apocalypse with a reeeeeeal long lens,” Mackenzie added in a post on social media.
The striking music video came in collaboration with John Angus Stewart who directed, edited and shot the film. Max Coles was on producing duties while engineer Joe Carra worked on the sound itself.
