King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard release third live album in support of the Australian wildlife charities

The Australian psych masters, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have shared another live album in support of Australian wildlife charities in the wake of the devastating bushfires.

The last few weeks have seen artists from across the music scene trying to help the best way they can. Elton John donated $1 million, while Nick Cave and Warren Ellis donated $500,000, King Gizzard have now put out another album with proceeds going to charity.

The record is another live album and uses recordings from two shows in Brussels, at the wonderful Ancienne Belgique from October last year. It’s the third live album the prolific band.

The new live album follows two previous efforts which were recorded in Adelaide and Paris. All three records are available to buy from King Gizz’s Bandcamp page and can be purchased at $10 AUD, though there is an option to donate a little extra to the cause should you wish.

All the proceeds from the new Belgian live album will go to WIRES Wildlife Rescue, the album from Adelaide will support Animals Australia, and the proceeds from the Paris live album will go to Wildlife Victoria. Bandcamp will donate its share of the revenue too.

The band have raised over $25,000 and have confirmed via their Instagram page that they “will keep donating as sales come in”.
